The banjo is miked using one 3 inch (8cm) C-ducer tape microphone.
Depending on the type of instrument and the style of play, the C-ducer can either be mounted close to the bridge (Position 1) or it can be mounted with the adhesive foam pad stuck to the rim (Position 2) and just the tape portion attached to the skin. When percusive effects are used (ie tapping the skin) the position of the tape will alter the level of the effect.
C-ducer is available as an unbalanced, battery-powered option (B1000/3) or in balanced, 48 volt phantom- powered format (CQM/3).
